Thanks for giving me credit for my comments.

The one thing that I experienced that cannot be generalized is the actual cost of a used luxury car versus the assumption I buy it at full price and keep it versus buying it 5 years old. As I had mentioned, my car cost me about $25K and new that exact same car costs about $55K.

I enjoy and “almost” new car at $30K less than new. The cost to own and operate is something that everybody will have to decide on their own. IN my case I could have had a reasonably tricked out Camry or a BMW convertible for the same price. That’s why I went with the latter -and as you pointed out — I am pretty biased to my favorite make. :)
